When it comes to scoring a treat-yourself day in Dubai, we ladies aren’t exactly short of options.
However many offers in the city are short on time, with deals and discounts open for just a few hours a week.
But if you like a lot of lazing time for your dirhams, one just-opened spot has a range of offers that tick all the boxes (such as a 10-hour ladies’ day—yes, really).
Coco on 8 is the latest bar launched by Media One Hotel, and the pool-side venue will have you feeling like you’ve spent the day in Miami rather than just off Sheikh Zayed Road.
Located in the heart of Media City, the eighth-floor destination has been given a cosmopolitan makeover with vibrant floral decor, Instagrammable drinks and an inventive new menu (think fresh oysters, poke bowls and watermelon and goat cheese lollipops).
You’ll find Latin-themed sharing plates and music on Little Havana Thursdays, or selected house beverages and dishes on offer for Dhs30 every day between 5pm and 8pm.
(You can also score the same deals between 12pm and 12am on Saturdays, to help stretch that weekend feeling out a little longer).
However it’s the weekly We Run the World party that looks sure to shake up your social calendar.
Every Sunday, Coco on 8 hosts Dubai’s longest-running ladies’ day, with hours of chilled music, sunbathing and complimentary drinks as you look out over the city’s skyline.
Starting from 12pm (so yes, you get a lie-in), gals get five hours of pool time accompanied by unlimited selected cocktails for free, plus nibbles from just Dhs30.
As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, there are a further three free beverages on offer between 5pm and 10pm (after which the party continues at the hotel’s ON42 space).
Wednesdays also are dedicated to the ladies, with unlimited bubbles and shisha for Dhs100 between 8pm and 12am.
Guys can get in on the action too, with Dhs75 daily pool passes up for grabs (and that’s redeemable on food and drinks)—or you can always leave them at Media One’s Garden on 8 outdoor bar to catch a football match.
