Missouri has lost a commitment from one of the two Montgomery, Ala. prospects in its Class of 2018.

On Wednesday morning, 3-star athlete Cam Taylor announced on Twitter that he’d be opening up his recruitment after pledging to the Tigers back on July 23.

The 6-foot, 196-pound Taylor from Park Crossing High is rated as the No. 51 athlete in the cycle, according to the 247Sports composite ranking.

Taylor was part of the commitment spree Mizzou enjoyed during a stretch in late July. The same day Taylor joined the class on July 23, the school also got commitments from 4-star LB Chad Bailey (the only 4-star or better in the class currently) and 3-star WR Cam Scott.

From July 21-27, Missouri secured commitments from eight recruits, a group that now makes up almost 70 percent of the class.

Taylor was one of two players from Montgomery along with 3-star dual-threat QB James Foster of Lanier High.
