LSU football podcast: Nick Saban should be loved by Tiger fans

Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant lays out why LSU fans should love Alabama head coach Nick Saban for what he did to make Tiger football nationally relevant. LSU fans should thank Nick Saban

LSU football would not be where it is today without Saban. He took over the Tigers in 2000 and turned them into a powerful force, winning a BCS National Championship in 2003.

Bryant acknowledges Saban left unceremoniously for the Miami Dolphins in 204 and returned to dominantly coach SEC West rival Alabama. That should leave any fan hurt. However, the Les Miles era would not have been what it was without Saban.

LSU supporters struggle to find love for Saban. Bryant believes your personal vendettas should be put aside for a man that brought so much joy to Tigers fans.

Ed Orgeron’s mentality versus Alabama

Suss has been impressed by the strides Orgeron has made during LSU’s three-game winning streak. Now, he will match wits with one of the game’s legends.

Suss thinks too much is being made of the head coaching matchup. He believes the play-calling of LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada will be the biggest coaching factor in this game.

Is Jalen Hurts overrated?

Bryant views Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts is a mediocre passer. Suss agrees to an extent. He predicts the LSU secondary will give Alabama offensive coordinator Brian Daboll’s thin receiving corps fits on Saturday.
