ESPN has Alabama and Georgia in the top two spots in its power rankings

Game Time Announcements-Week 4-SEC

Life is pretty good if you an SEC fan right now, as it seems just about every body agrees that the country’s best two teams hail from the SEC. Even ESPN does.

ESPN put Alabama and Georgia in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in its power rankings on Sunday. There are just 5 unbeaten FBS teams left, and the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are two of them.

The Bulldogs blasted Florida on Saturday, rolling to a 42-7 victory over rival Florida. The Bulldogs have yet to play an SEC game closer than 25 points. They take on South Carolina this coming week.

Alabama had the week off, as it gears up for its annual rivalry game against LSU. That game is scheduled for an 8 pm start on CBS this coming week.

These two teams seem destined to play each other in the SEC Championship game, which would basically be a College Football Playoff play-in game. And there’s a real chance, if both school are unbeaten, that Alabama and Georgia could get into the College Football Playoff.
