Louisville interim president Greg Costel updates the status of Rick Pitino, Tom Jurich and Brian Bowen
At a news conference on Wednesday, Louisville interim president Greg Costel provided updates on the status of basketball coach Rick Pitino, athletic director Tom Jurich and star freshman Brian Bowen.
Pitino has been placed on unpaid administrative lead, with Costel saying they are reviewing his employment. Jurich will be placed on paid administrative leave and Bowen has been suspended indefinitely and will be withheld from all practices and workouts.
Reports came out on Wednesday morning that Jurich and Pitino had been fired.
Bowen was reportedly the recruit who was paid $100,000 by the school.
The news all came out due to an FBI investigation in which 4 college basketball coachs, including Auburn’s Chuck Person, where charged with a number of crimes.
